Ankita Lokhande has had a busy year. She made her debut with Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, playing Jhalkaribai, who was Rani Laxmibai’s (Kangana ranaut in the film) aid in the war against the British East India Company. After garnering praise for making a confident debut in Hindi films, Ankita took a little break before deciding to take on her second film, Baaghi 3, directed by Ahmed Khan, co-starring Tiger Shroff. The actress, who has already started shooting for her next, was also in the news throughout the year for her newfound lovelife, evident in her social media pictures.

Ankita has come a long way in the decade that’s about to go by. She went from being a TV actor to a Bollywood actor; she also went through a bout of heartache before finding her emotional anchor in her special someone. When asked what she plans to do on the New Year’s Eve and how she plans to ring in a new decade and year, Ankita told us, “I plan to spend time with my family. I want to spend the last day of the year with them. The thing is we’re so busy in the year, travelling and shooting and fulfilling professional commitments, that we often don’t devote much time to our loved ones. Before the year draws to a close, I want to be with my folks, with my loved ones. That’s the best way to end the year and also start the next year.”
